Our group is doing the brochure and then also putting it on the web. We have all turned our portions of the brochure into Mary, and she is working on formatting the brochure. People have also sent me their portions so that I can format them into a website. I only need a web address from the Geology department for when I am finished. I could just send it to them, though, and they could post it if they wanted. Brannon, Mary, Lauren, Kim, and Jonathan

We are developing two flyers for the Geology Department: one to send out to students, and the other to send to guidance departments. As of right now, we have several different layouts designed. We also have all of the information gathered for the content of the flyers. We are in the process of gathering some contact information within the Geology Department. Other than that, we need to decide on one layout and arrange our information on it. A prototype should be ready by the beginning of next week when we present.

Our group is working on two formats for posters for the geology department, as well as using the layout of the posters as flyers. We have a draft of our first poster, focusing on the opportunities for field research. We plan to have a draft of the second poster by Thursday, highlighting some possible careers for geology majors. We will also have an implementation proposal to accompany these handouts. Since our drafts are just about complete we need to plan a time where we can have access to the printer that would enable us to print the real posters that we plan to distribute (certainly we would need a time to do this next week, as it is the last week of classes). So, as it stands now our drafts are close to ready for production.

Social Security Group (Flash-Based Geology Learning Center) Progress Report:

Everything is on schedule, we are fine in terms of pictures and information. 4/6 sections are already done, and we hope to be done with all six by Friday, and we will convert the project to a more old-technology friendly HTML version so a user can choose either version, whether they prize graphics or speed.

After a long blog hiatus, you have *1* assignment for this week--to post a progress report (1 per group) on the Geology projects which will eventually (after I have a chance to see them and comment as necessary) be re-mediated into a memo for the Geology Department.
